Rushi Manche co-founded a blockchain technology company focused on developing a modular blockchain network that combines performance, liquidity, and composability. In his early twenties, he and his business partner boldly decided to leave their internships and drop out of Vanderbilt University to launch their blockchain startup. With determination and vision, they raised $3.4 million in pre-seed funding from over 25 angel investors. This early financial backing allowed them to build a team of over 70 professionals.

A year later, in 2023, the company secured a $38 million Series A funding round. The investors included notable venture capital firms such as Hack VC, Paceholder, Archetype, Maven 11, Robot Ventures, Figment Capital, Nomad Capital, Bankless Ventures, OKX Ventures, dao5, and Aptos Labs. This round marked a significant milestone in Rushi's entrepreneurial journey, reinforcing his forward-thinking approach and leadership.

Rushi’s success in the blockchain industry stems from his innovative approach to creating a secure, efficient blockchain ecosystem. As a digital native and member of Generation Z, he was unafraid to take calculated risks. His vision was to enable developers to create secure applications that could operate seamlessly across different blockchain networks. By doing so, users could manage their digital assets without worrying about security breaches or compatibility problems. He believes blockchain programming offers higher security and efficiency than older systems, making it an ideal solution for businesses and financial applications.

The modular blockchain system introduced by Rushi's company is designed to break down complex tasks into separate components, or “layers,” each focusing on a specific function. This design allows for improved flexibility, scalability, and adaptability, making it easier for developers to meet diverse needs while ensuring robust security.

The Inspiration Behind Rushi’s Blockchain Vision

Rushi’s inspiration to form his blockchain company was rooted in his recognition of blockchain programming's potential, especially the advanced blockchain language developed by Meta (formerly Facebook). While others in the tech space failed to see its value, he recognized how this programming language could improve the performance and security of blockchain networks.

With the launch of his company’s Layer-2 (L2) solution built on the advanced Ethereum virtual machine technology, Rushi introduced a faster and more secure blockchain infrastructure. Unlike other companies that accepted security breaches as inevitable, his company sought to redefine the industry by prioritizing both speed and safety. His vision and innovative infrastructure have positioned the company as a leader in the blockchain space.

Previous Professional Experience and Entrepreneurial Spirit

Rushi’s interest in software engineering and blockchain technology began early. Before co-founding his blockchain company, he gained valuable experience working as a Software Engineer at Aptos Project, where he contributed to developing the leading decentralized exchange (Kairos Exchange) and cross-chain index funds (Mira Finance). He also founded Ensemble, the world’s first AI-powered test prep tutoring service, providing free test prep materials to high school students. His work with Ensemble helped integrate the service into 53 high schools across the United States.

Additionally, Rushi worked as a Software Engineer at UnitedHealth Group, where he successfully migrated seven APIs to the AWS cloud, reducing costs by 84%. He also helped transition the company’s tech stack to AWS S3, OpenSearch, and Elastic Kubernetes Service, enabling features like dynamic autoscaling and multiregional support.

As a freelancer, Rushi served as a Full Stack Developer for Stories In the Cloud, where he overhauled the user and admin portal using React and Bootstrap. He also worked on DevOps using AWS services and transitioned an outdated PHP backend to a Node.js/Express API integrated with MySQL.

Certifications and Education

Rushi holds a Seal of Biliteracy in French and has completed numerous courses with Udemy, earning certifications in Machine Learning, Blockchain Development, and Python programming. These certifications reflect his commitment to continuous learning and staying ahead in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.

Rushi’s achievements extend beyond his entrepreneurial ventures. He has received numerous prestigious awards for his academic excellence, entrepreneurial endeavors, and public service. In 2021, he was honored with the Ingram Scholarship at Vanderbilt University, awarded to students who demonstrate academic achievement and a dedication to solving societal challenges. He also received the Burger King McLamore Scholarship and was named an Elks National Foundation Semifinalist.

Additionally, Rushi earned the Coca-Cola Scholarship Semifinalist title and was recognized as a National AP Scholar. His achievements in the investment field earned him the Certified Young Investment Analyst Designation and the Champion title at the New Jersey State Stock Pitch Competition.

Rushi’s dedication to social impact was recognized with the 2020 New Jersey State Governor's Jefferson Award, awarded to individuals who make substantial contributions to their communities without expecting recognition.

Rushi comes from a family firmly committed to charitable work in India. Over the last decade, he and his family have supported initiatives focused on children’s hospitals, heart research, and healthcare. As a high school student, he volunteered at UNICEF, the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program, and various other organizations, showing his early dedication to public service.
